Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born March 26, 1991, is also known as Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female to be signed by J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. Her debut EP Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. It was at this point that she began to get the attention of her peers. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album, came out on 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music via the internet in 2012 as she launched her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. The singer continued uploading her songs online throughout 2014, including her self-released single Bound. In July of 2015, she appeared on Omen's album Elephant Eyes on the track Sweat it Out. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's reference. Later in the period, she released music that was circulating throughout Dreamville.
